Cōrycos od. -us, ī (Κώρυκος), I) f., Hafenstadt in Cilicien, zwischen den Mündungen des Lamus u. Kalykadnus, in deren Nähe ein gleichn. Vorgebirge u. ein tiefes, von schauerlichen Felsen umschlossenes Tal (specus Corycius), wo der beste Safran wuchs, mit einer Felsenhöhle (antrum Corycium), die im Mythus des Typhon eine Rolle spielt, j.
