Dicta, ae, f. u. Dictē, ēs. f. (Δίκτη), ein Berg auf Kreta, auf dem nach dem Mythus Jupiter in einer Grotte heimlich geboren u. erzogen wurde, Plin. 24, 164. – Dav. Dictaeus, a, um (Δικταιος), diktäisch, poet. für kretisch, Verg.: Dictaeae astra coronae, i.e. Ariadnaeae (s. Ariadna), Claud.: rex, d.i. Minos, Ov. met. 8, 43, u. Jupiter, Verg. georg. 2, 536 (wie D. Iuppiter, Min. Fel. 21, 2): arundo, pennae, der als Bogenschützen berühmten Kretenser, Sil.
