excipula, ae, f. u. excipulum, ī, n. (excipio), I) (excipula u. excipulum) = εκδοχειον, das Gefäß, der Behälter zum Auffangen einer Flüssigkeit, Gloss. – Plur. in den cas. obliqu., sucus subitur excipulis (Auffanggefäße) ventriculo haedino, Plin. 25, 78: in excipulis (Wasserfängen, Bassins) eiusdem fluminis, Plin. 9, 75. – II) (excipulum) die Saufeder, ein Jagdspieß, Gloss.
