(Ἄμπυκος), I) Sohn des Japetus, ein Sänger und Priester der Ceres, auf der Hochzeit des Perseus von Pettalus getötet, Ov. met. 5, 110. – II) ein Lapithe, Sohn des Pelias, Vater des berühmten Sehers Mopsus, Hyg. fab. 14 u. 128. – Dav. Ampycidēs, ae, m., der Ampycide (Nachkomme des Ampykus), d.i. Mopsus, Ov. met. 8, 316 u.ö.
