mīscellāneus (mīscillāneus), a, um (miscellus), untereinander gemischt, allerlei, turba, jeder Art, jeder Gattung, Apul. met. 3, 2. – subst., mīscellānea (mīscill.), ōrum, n., a) das Speisengemengsel, die geringste Kost der Gladiatoren, Iuven. 11, 20. – b) eine Schrift gemischten Inhalts, die Miszellaneen, Tert. adv. Val. 12.
