ōsus, a, um (odio), a) aktiv, dem jmd. od. etw. zuwider ist, jmd. od. etw. hassend (vgl. Prisc. 5, 19), inimicos semper osa sum optuerier, es ist mir zuwider, Plaut. Amph. 900: osus eum morum causā fuit, er haßte ihn, Gell. 4, 8, 3: quosdam (reges) minus aut magis osos veritatem, *Sen. suas. 1, 5. – b) passiv, verhaßt, re verā enim per invidiam fit, ut boni viri dum vivant osi sint, Porphyr. Hor. carm. 3, 24, 30.
