1. palmāris, e (v. palma), I) zu den Palmen gehörig, voller Palmen, lucus, Amm. 24, 4, 7. – II) übtr.: a) des Siegespreises = höchsten Ehrenpreises wert (auch ironisch), illa statua palmaris, jene St., der höchste Ehrenpreis, Cic. Phil. 6, 15: sed illa palmaris, das ist des h. E. wert, Cic. de nat. deor. 1, 20 Schoem. (Baiter u. Müller palmaria). – b) zum Siege gehörig, Sieges-, dea, Siegesgöttin, die einen Palmzweig trug, Apul. met. 2, 4: ludi, Siegesspiele, Corp. inscr. Lat. 9, 1666.
