(rapio) I) das Hinreißen, Fortreißen, a) übh., das gewaltsame Abreißen, Inoo lacerata est altera raptu, durch einen Riß der Ino, Ov. met. 3, 722. – b) der heftige Ruck, der Stoß, Zug eines Werkzeuges, runcinarum, Plin.: cucurbitarum, Cael. Aur. – c) als mediz. t.t., die Zuckung, der Krampf, in Gliedern, raptus omnium membrorum ex cerebri membranis, Cael. Aur. de morb. acut. 1, 1, 20: raptus vel attractio cooperimentorum a pedibus ad superiora, ibid. 1, 3, 37: raptus corporis, quem Graeci σπασμόν vocant, ibid. 2, 10, 74; vgl. Cael.
