Aristaeus, ī, m. (Ἀρισταιος), alter Heros und Segensgottheit der Griechen, Sohn des Apollo von der Kyrene, machte sich durch Einführung des Hirtenlebens, der Bienenpflege, der Ölerzeugung usw. verdient, Cic. de nat. deor. 3, 45; Verr. 4, 128. Verg. georg. 4, 317.
