Salassī, ōrum, m., die Salasser, ein keltisch-ligurisches Alpenvolk im Tale der Duria (im heutigen Savoyen), im Besitze der Alpenpässe, die sie lange gegen die Römer verteidigten, bis sie Augustus gänzlich besiegte, Liv. 21, 38, 7. Liv. epit. 135. Suet. Aug. 21, 1.
