Sardanapālus (Sardanapallus), ī, m. (Σαρδανάπαλος, Σαρδανάπαλλος), der bekannte weibische letzte König von Assyrien, der sich bei einer gegen ihn ausgebrochenen Empörung zuletzt mit seinem ganzen Serail u. allen seinen Schätzen auf einem Scheiterhaufen verbrannte, Vell. 1, 6, 2.
