Themiscȳra, ae, f. (Θέμισκυρα), alte griech. Stadt an der Mündung des Thermodon, die die Sage zum Wohnsitze der Amazonen machte und deren Name auf die ganze Umgegend übertragen wurde, Plin. 6, 10: dies.
