violentus, a, um (vis), gewaltsam, heftig, stürmisch, ungestüm (Ggstz. placidus), a) v. Pers.u. persönlichen Zuständen, Cic. u.a.: ingenium, Cic.: opes, Cic.: infantibus violenta venis, vom Tode, Sen. poët.: mors, Val.
